Well we bought this because we thought we needed to even w/ Cable TV. When we got it and set it all up we realized that we didn’t. It arrived in perfect shape and I sure would have been great had we been able to use it.

Being short on cash, I went for the cheapest deal I could find and I admit that I didn’t spend a lot of time researching. When I received this unit, I was surprised that it was as tiny and flimsy as it is. The picture makes it look bigger and sturdier. The remote didn’t work and try as I might to get it hooked up and working, I only got a screen full of “snow.” The directions said something about the green or red light that was supposed to do something, but I was not able to get anything to work the way it was supposed to and was not able to reach any tech support. I gave up, unplugged everything and haven’t bothered to go back to it. I am now wishing I had spent the extra and went to the local Radio Shack.

I didn’t buy this from Amazon but I wanted to get the word out that this box is mediocre at best. It displays channels but the picture quality is very poor.

After I saw all the negative reviews of this product from other users, I disagreed and decided that I should take my coupon and go out and buy one for myself! And I was so happy to find that it doesn’t have any of those problems! In fact it works really great, better than any other Digital to Analog TV Converter Box that I could imagine!
You should ignore all the other comments and buy one for yourself! And don’t listen to stories about bad customer service, because I also called customer service and they were very helpful and knowledgeable!
If redeem your govt coupon in exchange for this appliance, and you discover that it is cheap and defective, but also that you cannot return or exchange it to the store and you’ve been had – I think that’s silly! That is definitely not the case for this product!

I was unable to connect this converter box to Comcast Cable TV service. I then talked to Comcast and they claimed their cable service only works with their own boxes. I had not known this was the case when I bought the converter at Amazon. Now I am stuck with it.
