I currently have a Dell Inspiron E1405 laptop pc, with Windows XP Media Center Edition Service Pack 2. Basically all I want to do is start over from the beginning, like it’s a brand new, fresh-out-of-the-box computer. But, here’s the thing – I don’t have any of the start-up or driver discs that originally came with my computer. Now, with the research I’ve done thus far, I know that it’s nearly impossible to do this without those discs unless buy a Windows Vista Upgrade, which right now I don’t want to do. If I could get some help with this it’d be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I have a modem connected to D-Link router, then coming off of my router I have my computer and 360, the 360 says it has IP problems, but the computer is fine, me asking this question is proof of that. How do I get both working?
I am thinking about buying a new laptop PC. I want to know if the processor speeds I see on most new computers is comparable to my current computer. I have a Pentium 4 processor now that is 3.2 GHz. I see most of the newer computers seem to be at around 1.6GHz, but that is on the newer dual-core processors. Will the newer computer run as fast as my current one? I am deciding if I should have this one repaired or get a new one.
I work at an office and a computer virus uploaded itself onto my computer and is doing weird stuff to my computer. How can i get rid of it?
I did that thing where a computer can permanently remember your username on a forum, I go on, but if I log off it and go back on the computer later, I’m auto-logged on. Why?
What’ll happen is I’ll be on the computer, and, all of a sudden, I’ll hear a song or something, and I have no idea where it’s coming from. It’s always some sort of audio file that I don’t even have on my computer. I’ve tried closing all of the windows, but that doesn’t help. And there’s nothing on task manager, either.
After about 5 minutes or so after I am not on my computer, my screen saver comes on. When I move my mouse, I am at the main login screen. I do not want that to happen. I have a Windows XP. How can I keep my computer from going to the login when the screen saver comes on? Thanks!
My computer is logged in, but my sister changed my password when I left it alone and now I cannot shut it down out of fear that I wont be able to login again. Does anyone know any tricks or software that can get my computer to show its password?
