I have 4 computers and want to run a homenetwork with policies, file sharing, and I want documents of that user on a seperate hard drive. And programs that can run like that? I know Lock Xp, and I will give it another try. But any other programs? And web pages? I would like to set policies, save all user documents in 1 hard drive, and other stuff. Anyway I can do that? I’m not sure of any. I’m not that good on computers. I hear you need a computer to run a server, and the clients have to be connected to your ip address. That is all so confusing.
Can u help?

I have a windows 2003 server with two NIC’s. Each NIC is connected to a seperate ISP(with seperate static IP addresses). I want to use NIC 1 for all outgoing communication initiated from the server and NIC 2 will be used if NIC 1 fails(changed manually to be used for outgoing communication initiated from the server. only accepts incomming connection sent to its IP address).
Is there any facility available in windows 2003 to change the NIC that should be used for outgoing communications initiated from the server? I don’t want to use the bandwidth provided by ISP 2 for NIC 2.
Otherwise is there any third party software available to do this?
Thanks,
Anders.

We have a really great connection for students at our college, but it blocks mmo servers from connecting.
I have a four hour class break, and I live half an hour from the college so this is killing me.
Is there any way to get onto the server? I’ve heard of proxying, but I don’t know what that entails or if it will even work, much less how to do it.
I have a web site where members can sign up and upload images. Thinking large scale, say I have 100,000 members and each one uploads 100 images (averaging 1mb per image). That would require roughly 10,000 gigabytes of storage.
What is the best way to set up a server(s) to host something of this scale?

We are going to setup a GSM module/device for alarming in critical issues and situations in our windows based server. So, we need a GSM module which will send SMS of filtered event/data form our servers to system administrator or a group of employees. It will be totally auto generated, might be able to send different labels of group of employees.
