I have a HP laptop that is 13 months old. Screen went black but everything still lit up. No matter what I tried it would not work. I took it in and was told it needed a new motherboard. I asked how much it would cost and was told it would be cheaper to purchase a new laptop. Please advise on how much this typically costs, because the laptop cost me $1000.00. Thank you!

I just got a laptop for my birthday. I would like to get my itunes library to my laptop from my family’s computer. I had a lot of music on there. I dont think my laptop even has itunes. Could someone please tell me what i should do?
I have windows xp and I am connected directly to a modem and I have comcast as my ISP. My brother has Vista on his laptop. Is there way he can connect to my computer with a phone chord? If i goes from my computer to his laptop? And I also tried connecting his laptop straight to my modem and unplugged mine. But it tried to automatically configure the settings for the network, but it couldnt. Can someone maybe give me some assistance?

Well I broke my laptop screen by crushing it and don’t have all the money to fix it yet. I have an old monitor that I plug into the laptop. I can see the things going on with my computer in safe mode, but not normal mode. Is there a button or something to press to get it able for me to see what I am doing?
