This toaster had to be disconnected from the wall socket after each use. Why would they make a product like that?

This is a very shiny toaster, BUT it burns my toast. No matter what number I choose, it just randomly burns it whenever it feels like it. Sometimes, I think it is in a bad mood. When we first got it, it worked very well. The toaster still looks GOOD, but you don’t have to take my word for it.

Have you shoped for a simple toaster lately ?? Our old Toastmaster wide slot toaster was 4 1/4 inches wide. Now all toasters seem to be supersized. So imagine my excitement when I read that this “Compact” toaster is only 10L by 5W by 6 1/2 H. It isn’t. It is 10L by 7 1/2W by 7H . . . Oh, shucks, that’s only 50 percent wider than it says !! But of course I had opened the product
But wait, there’s more. I can’t fault Amazon. Cuisinart itself lists the same measurements. It takes me back to the days when the RCA XL-100 TV chassis shipped in a box that read “20 inches” and then in small print it read “19 inches in Canada” !!

The toaster looked great, but bread in one slot burned on one side. A quick adjustment and I got bread toasted on one side but not the other. A quick return.
