Ok, so I’m sure the product is fine; this review is of Amazon Customer Service. I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my mother-in-law. The website notes that this ships in original manufacturer’s packing, but that if you mark it as a gift, it wouldn’t. Well, it was wrapped so that the manufacturer’s info was covered. Yeah, Amazon! However, you forgot to fold the flipping packing receipt so that the contents remained a mystery. My mother-in-law now knows what she got for Christmas. I called to complain, and was offered a whopping $5 for my troubles. FIVE DOLLARS. I have spent lots of money at Amazon this season, and was planning on purchasing a 46′ LCD TV as well. With FIVE DOLLARS off the purchase price of $1600, it is now within my reach. Thanks for nothing, Amazon!

I have a lot of Cuisinarts because I use them to make cosmetic products. However, I can’t even get this baby to turn on at all. Safety pusher engaged or whatever. And wouldn’t you know it, I’ve misplaced the instructions and can’t get them online at Cuisinart.com. When you click download instructions a 2 page document comes up in Acrobat. Please just help me get it to turn on. My other Cuisinarts are no problem and they require the safety pusher be engaged too. Any ideas? velvetneedles@hawaii.rr.com

I couldn’t wait to get this food processor, knowing Cuisinart’s reputation for good products. I am disappointed to say that it broke the first time I used it. I made a double batch of bread dough, which I had made many times using my older, smaller food processor from another company. This machine burned right out and I can’t get it to work at all. It doesn’t surprise me, since it is made in China like so many products are these days. It certainly was not the quality I’d expected from such a well known company. What a piece of junk.
