I ordered this item on March 28th. It is now May 13th and Amazon says it is not in stock, but the estimated delivery date is May 14th to the 26th. 7 weeks and the ukulele is not in stock yet. When you can find similar ukulele’s at other sites for ~$35 dollars – ready to ship today – it is definitely not worth the wait.

Perfect for a 3.5 year old who needs one to feel like a big boy. Plastic strings don’t sound half bad and the wood is pretty enough to use in a photo setting. Cute and fun. We like it.

I was tempted by the good reviews, but I’m very disappointed in this uke. The strings are plastic and sound dull and horrible. I quickly upgraded to a Lanikai Concert uke with better strings and the improvement is night and day.
This ukulele now sits “on display” on my desk.

You get what you pay for with this one, the fret placement and action is so bad that it’s virtually impossible to get an in-tune note out of it.
Good for decoration.

If you are expecting a concert-grade instrument for this price, you are living in a fool’s paradise. However, this was tunable, playable, and the sound is pretty good. The case that mine came with is simple cloth, but since most don’t come with any case, it’s good enough.
If you have never bought an instrument new, or replaced strings on an existing instrument, you should be aware that the strings stretch a lot when first put under tension. This may be what caused many poor reviews. For the first few days, just keep tuning it, maybe a little sharp if you have the mind to, and the strings will be okay. Even an hour after first tuning my unit, the strings stretched so it was several full tones off. (Be patient, it’s just a baby!!)
Bottom line: If you want a good uke, maybe for taking on a camping trip, or teaching your kids to play (What mine is for), this is a good product. If you need an “Excellent” instrument, plan on paying more than $100 and go to a music store where you can test/play many, many different instruments until you find the one you want.
