Cartridge only lasted a short while then print was smeared and unreadable. I would not recommend this product. I had to replace.

My printer is principally used to produce materials for a large golf group so my print volume relatively high where reliability and price are primary considerations. So when I buy ink cartridges online I am looking for two things: 1, Genuine OEM product and 2, a good price. As always, Amazon was reliable for product quality and dependable delivery. The price was good too. As far as the cartridge goes it is supposed to produce 750 sheets at a cost of about $30 or 4 cents per sheet so I guess that is reasonable. The printer I am using (Officejet J4680) has been disappointing particulary when trying to use cost saving lower quality settings but that is a whole different discussion. At least they got the lower quality part right.

I definitely agree with the reviewer who suggested you set your printer setting to “Fast Draft”. I received this on December 7, 2009 and installed it the same day. I’m still using this cartridge (almost 2 months later) and I use my printer almost every day. I usually print out coupons and plain word documents and have not noticed a difference in print quality since changing to fast draft, but I have noticed a difference in how often I am replacing my ink.

I bought the 901XL because it was supposed to last 3x longer than the single cartridge. It will not. The type comes out very heavy (Like BOLD) and is not consistent. Some of the words are in normal face font, many are in bold type. There is no controlling it. I am very dissatisfied with this product. I would rate it 1/2 star.
