Why pay $72, when a compatible cartridge will work for $22. That’s a $50 difference! For that price you can buy three with some left over to spare! Why can’t HP offer their toner this cheap? I suppose all the profit’s going directly towards the HP top man’s multi-million-dollar bonuses and not as savings to their customers! Sad…

Yes, you’re going to get a lot of copies from this HP laser cartidge (no complaints there). But instead of paying $80 for a new cartridge, I just bought re-filled ones for $30, and so far, the re-filled cartridges are still going strong. I don’t know what HP is thinking. Yes, you can “mail back” your old cartidges for reconditioning, but HP doesn’t give you any money to do so (I guess you’re just expected to “love green”), and at least our local UPS store refused to accept the pre-printed UPS label for sending back old cartridges. So again, I don’t know why anyone would pay the extra $50 if you can find a highly-rated company that reconditions cartridges.
