I want to be able to print to my printer in my dorm through an internet connection anywhere on campus (I pay for private internet because the school’s sucks) using my desktop as a print server. I tried setting up a network printer on my laptop using a static IP, but that did not work, it was unable to find the printer.

I’d like to use as little 3rd party software as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My computer crashed, so I have to use a company-owned laptop for now. I am not the administrator on said laptop. It’s bugging the hell out of me that I can’t watch youtube videos or stream music on playlist. Is there ANY way to install the flashplayer plug in without administrative privileges? I’ve been told so many times that it’s impossible, but there has got to be some way you can cheat it?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525. I read a story about someone being able to train their computer to only turn on when they say “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good” and it logs off when they say “Mischief Managed.” I was wondering if you have to have a certain laptop to do this. If not, how can I train my computers to recognize my saying passwords?

I’m going to Jordan for the summer and I wanted to know what I have to do to be able to use American electronics in Jordan. I want to take my laptop and straightener with me.

The printer already configured for USB connection with another laptop. The printer is somewhat a headache to set up for wireless connection, it doesn’t have the option to choose a vailable wi-fi network. Instead there are WSP push button and Pin code methods. Following the prunter’s mannual didn’t help.

Is it really safe to do Defragmentation regularly? because I’m planning to defragment my laptop and it’s my first time to do it, that’s why I’m hesitating that it might not be a good idea, and I’m not sure what will happen after. Would it change the current arrangements and settings and everything in my computer?

Do you use an encryption software program or do you get the laptop with an encrypted hard drive to be HIPAA compliant? Any idea of cost? This would be for a sole practitioner, not a large medical practice.

I have a gateway m-6843 notebook with windows vista and am trying to connect to a hp c5580 bluetooth printer. Ive tried everything in the set up and can’t seem to figure it out. My laptop is not finding the bluetooth device. Im not the best at doing computer things so if you could give good details please. Please help! Thanks.
