How do you stream internet radio to a server from your own radio automation program?

May 4th, 2011 1 comment

I would like to broadcast internet radio from my own computer, because when I was in college, I had my own radio show, and I would like to continue that on a free server. I currently have my own radio automation software and know how to use it, but my question is, how do I stream live directly from my program (DirEttore) to a free server, like ShoutCAST or something of the sort? I would even settle for stickam.

Why will not car start its dead when turn on?

April 21st, 2011 3 comments

My car did not start but the interior lights were on. So I jump start it and it works. I leave it for 5 minutes and then turn it off. Disconnect the jump start cables. Sit back in the car and it won’t start. Even the interior lights won’t start. No lights inside turn on, no radio, nothing. Its dead.

Can it be the battery or something else?

What 3rd party car steroes will work with the stearing wheel controlls?

April 15th, 2011 1 comment

I have a 06plate Vauxhall Corse SXI. It has the controlls on the stearingwheel that allows you to controll the factory fitted cd player and radio.
I was wondering if there are any car steroes available that you can use these controlls with? I’m looking for a car stereo that I can controll my iPod with, or that at least has an AUX port.

If satellite TV and radio need either a dish or antenna, why don’t GPS gadgets need one?

April 6th, 2011 5 comments

Just wondering why my car GPS needs no antenna. I just hook it up to the 12v power supply and it searches for a bunch of satellites in outer space yet no need for an external antenna?? Can anybody explain? THX!

What are some good MP3 players that just play music?

March 15th, 2011 4 comments

I know about the Creative Zen M and the Cowon x5, but they have all of this other stuff that I really do not need. If you know of a really awesome MP3 that only has some stuff, not the whole enchilada, I’d like to hear about it. But seriously, I do not want loads of other stuff on the mp3 like photos and videos and radio. I’d really just like to play my music, thankyouverymuch!
NOT IPOD, thanks though. I have an ipod mini and i need something with more than 4 or 6 gb. I’m thinking something above 10 gb…

Portable radios or other electrical gadgets that don’t need batteries?

March 13th, 2011 3 comments

I read from a magazine that there is this hand-held radio that uses a hand-winding mechanism to power it up for an hour or two. Would be a real cool device to own in the country. Anyone knows where i can get this and if any other gadgets operate the same way?

Is there any software that can turn my computer into a regular radio receiver?

March 6th, 2011 5 comments

I am an avid radio listener and would like to know if there is any software that can make my computer a radio that can receive shortwave, AM and or FM stations from my area. Or has this even been invented yet?

I would prefer if this software was inexpensive or free. Thanks for the help!
